Dangerous Goods Regulation – Initial Course (DGR)
The intensive course of shippers, freight forwarders and airlines staff that carry out specific duties related to dangerous goods shipments. The module which is based on the IATA module, approved by the Department of Civil Aviation Malaysia, and also recognized as the IATA Accredited Training Schools Program. The successful candidate information will be recorded in the Department of Civil Aviation Malaysia database.
The 5 days module will comes with the training manual, latest IATA DGR book, examples of UN packaging materials, examples of actual packed dangerous goods, etc.. The cargo security session included as part of the IATA requirement through IATA DGR Subsection 1.6.

Understand the philosophy behind the regulations and be able to use the IATA DGR.
Be familiar with the structure and general provisions of the IATA DGR.
Be aware of the risks posed by the transport of dangerous goods and the consequences of their mishandling.
Classify and identify dangerous goods.
Find the relevant information in a Safety Date Sheet.
Understands the selection, testing and marking of packaging.
Know how to correctly pack dangerous goods.
Complete the marking and labelling of dangerous goods shipments according to the regulations.
Prepare a Shipper’s Declaration for Dangerous Goods and other documents for the transport of dangerous goods by air.
Understands acceptance, handling, loading, unloading and segregation requirements.
